Change= make or become different

This time of year there are lots of things changing, the seasons, our schedules for the holiday season, our bank accounts, and the way we look at the world around us. We become more aware of the plight of others at this time with charities asking for contributions, and needing volunteers to help out. I ask myself, don't they need help at other times of the year? Duh the answer is yes but why do we focus on this time of year? Ok some may say it is because Jesus was born, (supposedly in Winter, thats another discussion) and we are to give gifts as a response to that ultimate gift.

Do you ever question why you do the things you do? I do often. I don't think when Jesus came to this earth to show us the way that He wanted us to practice "shoulding". This is when we feel we "should" give a gift to someone and not because we feel moved to give it. Jesus didn't feel as though He should or had to come to us. But He knew us and was was moved to give of Himself to us. He wanted to be the CHANGE in us so that one day we would go home for the ultimate Christmas a Christmas that would last forever.

As you look to make CHANGES or resolutions this year, let the ONE who created you be the ONE to make you or help you become different. Don't let the way you look in the mirror, the amount of money in your account or the quality of your relationship status dictate CHANGE. If you focus on HIM and have daily encounters with HIM you can only be changed for the better! When this happens you will be a tool HE uses to CHANGE HIS WORLD!
